Rain - Cerulean Blue (04 ^ 99mb)

There's not much to say about Rain, besides that it's the result of one man writing, recording and playing most of the instruments, even designing the artwork. "Cerulean Blue", is a concept album, taking special care to construct mood with music while developing the plot with words.
"Cerulean Blue" is about a young man named Rick, and his amazing journey across the United States. His story is told through postcards, intercepted by a mysterious man named Mr. Jaeger who is trailing him. Along the way, the listener follows Rick as he meets strange people in bleak situations. At one point, Rick joins a UFO cult, but believes it all nonsense, and leaves just before the group commits mass suicide ("Starcrossed"). The lyrics of "Cerulean Blue" contain complex symbolism that alludes to the personality of Rick and of Mr. Jaeger. The most intriguing moment of the album may be his encounter with a homeless person on the side of the street, who claims to know the meaning of life, and Rick buys them for a dollar. The album never says what these secrets are, but, in a way, they seem to change Rick, and he regrets not writing them down, as the next day the man died. As Rick saw it, "now no one had the answers."

The album has been available as a 96k free download for some years now, but if you really like this one or know of someone you could pleasantly surprise with it, why not buy it at his (company's) website buy Cerulean Blue...its just 8,5 Euro incl shipping.

Hello Sundazers, i'm back with what then was once described as My Bloody Valentine meets Aphex Twin, interestingly both these names have stood the test of time-thusfar-, whilst the band in focus today..Seefeel..fell apart within 4 years. The path they chose split, as the world of electronics opens a myriad of ways, certainly compared to the shoegazer indie path which they initially started out on. However that was all yet to be, as here we have their remastered debut album. Njoy..

***** ***** ***** ***** *****

Seefeel - Quique (pronounce Keek) ( ^ 256mb)

Seefeel formed in 1992 in London, England, guitarist Mark Clifford and drummer Justin Fletcher met up at a London college, and by 1992 the duo had recruited vocalist Sarah Peacock and Mark Van Hoen (bass), during 1992, latter was replaced by Daren Seymour on bass. Seefeel began auditioning songs and was ready to record their first single for Too Pure Records, but experienced a change of heart, the quartet grew bored within the restraints of normal rock forms and started working with loops and programs rather than lyrics and choruses, this caused the resulting EP More Like Space to owe more of a debt to Aphex Twin than alternative rock.

They released their first EPs and first album on the British independent label Too Pure in 1993. Seefeel's music was stylistically situated at the intersection of dream pop/shoegaze and ambient techno/IDM. Seefeel's debut album Quique, turned out an even colder document of ambient indie techno than the previous EPs had predicted. The album was hailed as a techno album which indie kids could listen to, and it received an American release that same year on the dance label Astralwerks. During 1994, Astralwerks compiled the two early EPs as Polyfusia, and Seefeel made the leap from rock to techno as they signed with IDM label Warp Records, after which point Seefeel's music became darker and more minimal. Their 2nd album album, 1995's Succour, was something of a disappointment the record was a bit too skeletal for most rock critics or music fans. The music became less collaborative within the group after the move to Warp, as is made evident by the similarities between Succour, and subsequent Mark Clifford solo releases. This caused the temporary breakup of the group in 1996, when Mark Clifford's Disjecta project became his main occupation.

Peacock, Fletcher, and Seymour in turn joined Mark Van Hoen (aka Locust) for an EP and album of indie/trip-hop recorded as Scala. Though Seefeel returned in late 1996 with their third proper LP, Ch-Vox, the group took an open-ended hiatus after its release. Peacock and Seymour continued to record as Scala, while Clifford recorded an EP for Warp as Woodenspoon and later surfaced as Sneakster.
The band ceased making music as Seefeel in 1996 and performed their last live concert in October of 1997 alongside Boards of Canada.

Members of Seefeel have continued to release new material under different aliases and projects.

On May 14, 2007, Seefeel's 1993 debut album Quique was re-released on UK-based label Too Pure as Quique (Redux Edition). The original tracks have been remastered and a second disc, which contains several rare remixes and previously unreleased tracks, has been added to the album. The album title refers to the band members having given their instruments french names; "Quique" referring to the kick-drum.

Hello a little Sunshine nearing the winter solstace, this album belonged in the Sunshine Then post i made 17th of august 2007, alas that was the biggest one already, and my vinyl copy dreaded.. so it got omitted, meanwhile Two Sevens Clash has been rereleased on CD and i got this 30th anniversery edition, one that main man Joseph Hill didnt get to see as he died on stage 19th of august 2006.

***** ***** ***** ***** *****

Culture - Two Sevens Clash ( 77 flac 394mb)

Joseph Hill had been trying his hand at a solo career for some time before forming Culture. .He recorded several solo numbers during his stay at Coxone studios in 71, including "Behold the Land" and "Take Me Girl," but nothing came of them. Hill floated through several bands prior to forming Culture in 1976. His cousin Albert Walker came to him with the idea of forming a vocal group, and the two quickly recruited another cousin, Roy "Kenneth" Dayes, to sing harmony vocals along with Walker. Initially calling themselves the African Disciples, the trio hooked up with producer Joe Gibbs in Kingston, and soon changed their name to Culture.

Overseen by Gibbs and engineer Errol Thompson, aka the Mighty Two, they debuted with the single "This Time" on Gibbs' Belmont label. Not long after, they broke through with several hit singles, including "See Them a Come" and "Two Sevens Clash." The latter was a Rastafarian vision of the rapidly approaching apocalypse, which fueled public paranoia in an already violent election year; it also provided the title track of the group's debut album, which was released in 1977 to tremendous acclaim. Two Sevens Clash was a spiritual manifesto against racial injustice and poverty. It won a huge following not only in Jamaica, but also the U.K.

After their success with Gibbs, the group went on to make a string of albums for producer Sonia Pottinger. Culture began working with some of the premier musicians of the day including Robbie Shakespeare, Sly Dunbar, Ansel Collins, Cedric Brooks and the ever-present percussionist Sticky. Virgin Records picked up the albums, and that added distribution enabled Culture to gain an even larger following outside of Jamaica. In 1982 the three singers went their own ways. Joseph Hill carried on using the Culture name, and recorded the ‘Lion Rock’ album, which was released in the United States by Heartbeat Records. In 1986 the original line-up reformed to record two highly regarded albums – ‘Culture in Culture’ and ‘Culture at Work’. They resumed touring as well, and kicked off another prolific and productive period with albums like 1988's Nuff Crisis (which featured the powerful protest "Crack in New York"), 1989's Good Things, 1991's dancehall-flavored Three Sides to My Story, and 1992's Wings of a Dove.

In 1993, Kenneth Dayes left the group to pursue a solo career, wanting to continue their earlier experimentation with dancehall. Culture was then touring with an independent backing band called Dub Mystic, and that group's lead singer, Malomo, became the third vocalist in the trio. He appeared on two studio albums, 1996's One Stone and 1997's Trust Me. Malomo was replaced in 1999 by Telford Nelson, who made his debut on 2000's Payday. Hill released another effective solo album, Humble African, in 2001, and Culture returned in 2003 with the acclaimed World Peace. On August 19, 2006, during a show in Berlin, Germany, Hill collapsed on-stage and passed away.

O Yuki Conjugate - Peyote (91 ^ 207mb)

O Yuki Conjugate is an organic ambient musical group, instruments used include tongue drums, roto-toms, bongos, congas, "big bean," "found percussion," drum machine, wind chimes, loops, frying pan, bass guitar, samples, keyboards, fractal guitar, e-bow, flutes, chants, radio, wildlife, tablas, berimbau, nose-singing, and vocals. Their music, as apparent from this list, is percussive and inventive, but it is also atmospheric.

O Yuki Conjugate was formed in Nottingham in 1982 by multi-instrumentalists Andrew Hulme, Tim and Roger Horberry and Claire Elliot; inspired by the atmospheric guitar instrumentals of the Durutti Column, they began experimenting with keyboards and tape loops, adding percussion to the mix before debuting with the soundscapes of 1984's Scene in Mirage( lim. ed 500 copies). A three-year gap preceded the release of the follow-up, Into the Dark Water, good reviews limeted edition, 1000 copies the first of many extended absences from the contemporary music scene; only in 1991 did O Yuki Conjugate again resurface, issuing Peyote on the Projekt label. Undercurrents (re-issued In Dark Water), which assembled both older material and latter-day recordings, appeared a year later. The band split up with marriage and study taking presedence, Andrew and Roger continue.

When asked to do a show in the netherlands Tim returns Malcolm McGeorge, Dan Mudford and Peter Woodhead join and after some serious repetitionwork, the concert is a success and O Yuki is reborn a homestudio is build. Support slots for Biosphere and Higher Intelligence Agency bring them ahead and 1994's Equator is deemed superb. The group released Sunchemical, a collection of remixes, just 2000 copies nevertheless it got them a cease and desist notice from the american printing giant with te same name..duh. They release Primitive on Staalplaat. Roger Horberry moves the Amsterdam where he pursues solo projects Andrew Hulme meanwhile does his own á small good thing". Oh Yuki dissappears to the back ground.Hulme and Horberry additionally collaborated on dance music under the name Symetrics, with the former also heading the groups A Small Good Thing and Sons of Silence as well as recording Fell with Paul Schütze.

By 2004 Oh Yuki is revived as Hume and Jenkins finish recording a dirty ambient album and decide to use the Oh Yuki moniker, the album is finally released in 2006 as "The Euphoria Of Disobedience". The band described the new album as ''dirty ambient - multi layered, hyper textural and distinctly gritty''. Meanwhile the backcatallogue has been uploaded to Itunes aswell.

Tenhi - Airut Aamujen (04 ^ 259mb)

At the end of year 1996 Tyko Saarikko composed the first songs for Tenhi and Ilkka Salminen joined the band. After short sessions, a demo tape ‘Kertomuksia’ was recorded and released in spring 1997, getting good response in the underground and catching the interest of German label Prophecy Productions, a deal was signed for three full-length albums. Ilmari Issakainen was asked to join the group before they entered the studio for the ‘Hallavedet’-recording session in spring 1998. The recording and mixing took place in a hasty 16-hour session and the band indirectly learned to define their wanted Tenhi sound by it. The following summer, violin player Eleonora Lundell joined the band while they were composing material for the first full-length album ‘Kauan’ which was recorded autumn 1999. Veera Partanen played flute as a session member. Two songs were dropped out from the sessions: ‘kielo’ and ‘niin auer hiljaa vie’.

During the summer of 2000, `Kielo´ was re-recorded and released later on the mCD `airut:ciwi` with two other songs. At the end of year Tenhi started to record the following full-length album `väre`, which came across many setbacks. Now it ought to be released early autumn 2002. In the beginning of summer 2001 Tenhi got another chance to play at Wave-Gotik-Treffen and this time everything went as planned. Following autumn Tenhi had a tour in Germany and in Austria with Dornenreich and Of The Wand And The Moon. The tour went well, apart from the lack of proper equipment at some venues, which forced the bands to play at almost speaking volume. The following release after 'väre' is continuing the 'airut:' saga.

The piano driven “Airut:aamujen” was originally released in small limited edition thru our Utustudio in December 2004 under the name Harmaa. After signing it also to Prophecy we wanted to re-release it with the title TENHI and so bring the saga together.Airut:saga is based on my and Ilmari Issakainen’s visions. The saga continues and explores further paths found in certain TenhiI songs. The song ‘Kielo’ was the source of inspiration for the first two chapters. The third one “Airut:Savoie” will grow upon themes found in ‘Tuulenkaato’ and ‘Maa syttyy’ (Maaäet). Tenhi have already composed the material for “Airut:aamujen released late 2006, In 2007 they've released a triple cd in bookformat, Folk Aesthetic 1996-2006.

Eight X again

Hello, some A-tix again, 88 's to be precise a two bands of (hard) rockers that went against the prevailing dance culture of the late eighties. First up, a band that Kaiser Chief fans should like as the latter come rather close soundwise to The Godfathers of 1988, they were rather ignored in the UK at the time, but did have some continental success and in the US, and deservedly so..they produced enigmatic live shows during their extensive touring schedules aswell. Have to say, not having listened to the album for quit some time, they still sound's your chance to discover a band that wouldnt be misplaced in the current music scene...In contrast to the Godfathers the next band did achieve global recognition, though it took some time to sink in that here were four blacks rocking...(wasnt that the whiteman's burdon ?) Anyway once MTV picked up on a track that epitomizes their businessmmodel..The Cult Of Personality...Living Colour quickly became part of the cult of personalities they had expressed their misgivings about in the song..

***** ***** ***** ***** *****

The Godfathers - Birth, School, Work, Death ( 88 ^ 88mb)

The Godfathers were founded by brothers Peter and Chris Coyne in London in 1985. Vocalist Peter and bassist Chris were joined by guitarists Kris Dollimore and Mike Gibson and drummer George Mazur. After acclaimed independent single releases produced by Vic Maile and collected on debut album Hit By Hit they signed to Epic Records in 1987. Touring extensively the UK, Europe and the USA, The Godfathers earned a reputation for their no-holds barred live shows and electrifying brand of primal rock 'n' roll. Their guitar-driven alternative rock sound stood out in the electronica-driven music scene of the UK at the time, while laying the foundations for the Brit Pop rock resurgence of the nineties.

As they missed the British punk revolution by a decade and were a few years too early before loud guitars became fashionable in England again. Consequently, the group's 1988 LP Birth, School, Work, Death is often overlooked. Released during the U.K. rave craze of the late ‘80s, Birth, School, Work, Death must've seemed completely dated in the barrage of pulsating electronic sounds that enveloped Britain at the time. Wearing Mafia suits and skinny ties, the Godfathers had a mean look that matched their name. And their sound was similarly tough: brass-knuckled punches in the form of menacing, explosive riffs; venom-spewing, nihilistic vocals; body-slamming percussion. Yet the Godfathers never forget the importance of the hook, they are far from being one-dimensional. "Just Like You" is an upbeat love song and on "When Am I Coming Down" guitarist Kris Dollimore helps illustrate an acid trip gone wrong with swirling, disorienting guitars that recall Jimi Hendrix' moments of sonic transcendence. The production by Vic Maile is clean yet it doesn't soften the Godfathers' two-fisted attack.

Their third album, More Songs About Love & Hate (1989), featured the popular college radio track "She Gives Me Love," but was less commercially successful. They released a fourth album, Unreal World, on Epic in 1991. After the split of the original line-up the band briefly resurfaced in the 90s and toured Europe and Australia. Peter Coyne and Kris Dollimore have contributed to an outfit called The Germans with Rat Scabies, formerly of The Damned in 2003. Mike Gibson has also been busy releasing his first solo album in 2004 with the City Farmers. Lead guitarist Kris Dollimore is active on the British blues scene in London and the South East purveying his unique 'Medway Delta' blues. George Mazur has been working as a session drummer overseas. Rumours of a return to the stage for their traditional Saint Valentine's Day Massacre concert in London have kept their cult following waiting for decades.

Living Colour - Vivid ( 88 ^ 99mb)

Living Colour was formed in New York City in 1983 by guitarist Vernon Reid. They grew out of the Black Rock Coalition, a non-profit organization founded by (among others) Reid, British-born but a longtime New York resident, and a guitarist of unnerving technique and speed He assembled a number of bands under the name Living Colour from 1983 until 1986, when a stable lineup was formed, consisting of vocalist Corey Glover, bassist Muzz Skillings, and drummer Will Calhoun.

Soon after, the band became experienced at touring, including performing regular gigs at the seminal club CBGB's. Aided by a demo produced by fan Mick Jagger (who hired Reid and Calhoun to play on his 1987 album Primitive Cool), Living Colour scored a record deal with Epic Records. Living Colour's debut album, Vivid, was issued in the summer of 1988, yet it would take a few months for momentum to build. Exploding at the year's end with the hit single/MTV anthem "Cult of Personality," which merged an instantly recognizable Reid guitar riff and lyrics that explored the dark side of world leaders past and present (and remains LC's best-known song). The album was also incredibly consistent, as proven by the rocker "Middle Man", the funky, anti-racist "Funny Vibe," the touching "Open Letter (To a Landlord)," plus the Caribbean rock of "Glamour Boys." Add to it an inspired reading of Talking Heads' "Memories Can't Wait," the Zeppelin-esque "Desperate People," and two complex love songs ("I Want to Know" and "Broken Hearts"), and you have one of the finest hard rock albums of the '80s. The band supported the release with a string of dates opening stadiums for the Rolling Stones' first U.S. tour in eight years that autumn.

The quartet regrouped a year later for their sophomore effort, Time's Up, an album that performed respectfully on the charts but failed to live up to the expectations of their smash debut. An appearance at the inaugural Lollapalooza tour in the summer of 1991 kept the group in the public's eye, as did an EP of outtakes, Biscuits. Skillings left the group shortly thereafter (replaced by studio vet Doug Wimbish), as their darkest and most challenging release yet, Stain, was issued in 1993. Although it failed to sell as well as its predecessors, it retained the band's large and dedicated following, as Living Colour appeared to be entering an interesting and groundbreaking new musical phase of their career. The band began writing the following year for what would be their fourth full-length, but an inability to settle on a single musical direction caused friction between the members, leading to Living Colour's demise in early 1995.

In the wake of Living Colour's split, all of its former members pursued other projects. Reid issued a solo album, 1996's Mistaken Identity (as well as guesting on other artist's recordings), while Glover attempted to launch a career as a solo artist, issuing the overlooked Hymns in 1998 Calhoun and Wimbish remained together and launched a new outfit, the drum'n'bass-inspired Jungle Funk, who issued a self-titled debut release in 1997 .With Living Colour out of commission for several years by the early 21st century, Calhoun and Wimbish teamed up once more with Glover in a new outfit, Headfake, playing often in the New York City area. A few days before Christmas in 2000, Headfake played a show at CBGB's, and were joined on-stage by Reid, which led to rumors of an impending Living Colour reunion. The rumors proved to be true, as Living Colour launched their first tour together in six years during the summer of 2001. In 2003, Living Colour returned with a deal with Sanctuary and their most experimental release to date, Collideøscope. Two years later the rarities collection What's Your Favorite Color? was released, followed by Everything Is Possible: The Very Best of Living Colour in 2006.

The Prisoner

Hello, been out of town and busy and will get back to posting some music during the upcoming week, in the meantime i start a new series, 40 years old but it has kept the interest for all those years. "I'm Not A Number, I'm A Free Man !" really hit home and i would think even more so these days. Next year a remake of the series will hit the screens, i hope they won't fuck it up with violence as this series is mostly build on psychological violence.

The Prisoner is a British 1960s television drama series starring and co-created by Patrick McGoohan which combines spy fiction with elements of science fiction, allegory and psychological drama.

It follows a former British secret agent who, after abruptly resigning from his position, is held captive in a small village by the sea by an unidentified power that wishes to establish the reason for his resignation. Episodes typically feature the unnamed prisoner, labelled "Number Six" by his captors, unsuccessfully attempting to escape from or change the authority of "the Village." However, Number Six has numerous victories of his own, successfully thwarting the various individuals serving as the Village's chief administrator, "Number Two" in their attempts to break him or control the Village, causing a disconcertingly rapid turnover of personnel in the position. Eventually as the series reaches its surreal climax, Number Six's indomitable resistance and his mounting blows against the administration eventually threaten the viability of the Village itself, which forces its desperate warders to take drastic action.

The show was created by McGoohan and George Markstein, with exteriors filmed primarily on location at the Hotel Portmeirion in Penrhyndeudraeth, North Wales. Seventeen episodes were produced. The first was originally broadcast in London on 1 October 1967[1] and the last aired on 4 February 1968.

Although sold as a spy thriller in the mould of McGoohan's previous series, Danger Man, the show's combination of 1960s countercultural themes and its surreal setting had a far-reaching effect upon science fiction-fantasy-genre television and also popular culture in general.

As a teaser i offer here the first shows trailer, just click on the red triangle (choice) to view or download. Over at Transgloballs you can download episode 1 Arrival

A.P.(04) V 4 Vendetta

Hello, some vinyl ripping troubles here..anyway a week later as planned i post of movie, btw not uploaded by me but i did very much enjoyed it, it's from the people behind the Matrix, nothing VR this time but there are some pills to swallow...It's one big download from Megaupload 442mb, if you havent seen the movie yet , get it and enjoy...

***** ***** ***** ***** *****

V for Vendetta is a 2006 action-thriller film directed by James McTeigue and produced by Joel Silver and the Wachowski brothers, who also wrote the screenplay. The film is an adaptation of the graphic novel V for Vendetta by Alan Moore and David Lloyd. Set in London, England in a near-future dystopian society, the film follows the mysterious V, a freedom fighter seeking to effect sociopolitical change while simultaneously pursuing his own violent personal vendetta. The film stars Natalie Portman as Evey Hammond, Hugo Weaving as V, Stephen Rea as Inspector Finch and John Hurt as Chancellor Sutler.

The film was originally scheduled for release by Warner Bros. Friday, November 4, 2005 (a day before the 400th Guy Fawkes Night), but was delayed; it opened on March 17, 2006. Alan Moore, refused to view the film and subsequently distanced himself from it. Moore said that the script contained plot holes and that it ran contrary to the theme of his original work, which was to place two political extremes (fascism and anarchism) against one another. He argues his work had been recast as a story about "current American neo-conservatism vs. current American liberalism". Per his wishes, Moore's name does not appear in the film's closing credits. Co-creator and illustrator David Lloyd supports the film adaptation, commenting that the script is very good and that Moore would only ever be truly happy with a complete book-to-screen adaptation.

There are several fundamental differences between the film and the original source material. For example, the comic is set in the '90s, while the film is set in 2038: Alan Moore's original story was created as a response to British Thatcherism in the early 80s and was set as a conflict between a fascist state and anarchism, whereas the film's story has been changed by the Wachowskis to fit a modern political context. Alan Moore charges that in doing so, the story has turned into an American-centric conflict between liberalism and neo-conservatism, and abandons the original anarchist-fascist themes.

Hello, a quick word from me, been busy so for tonight another groover from the early seventies, original vinyl, bought a best off cd By Jimmy Castor but that felt a bit of a let down a they were all re-recordings..i wonder what RCA has done with the masters..probably yet another rights thing, squeezing every penny out of an artist that made them millions... the music industry is full of sick(greedy) people....Anyway Phase II was a bit of a rerun of the debut album, understandibly with the very succesful format. some amazing moments again though..

***** ***** ***** ***** *****

The Jimmy Castor Bunch - Phase Two ( 72 ^ 99mb)

Jimmy Castor (born June 23, 1937) was a product of Harlem's Sugar Hill. A master of novelty/disco funk, saxophonist Jimmy Castor started as a doo wop singer in New York. Before even finishing junior high school, Jimmy Castor had written his first million seller for Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers called, “I Promise To Remember.” While furthering his education at New York City’s prestigious High School of Music & Art and later attending City College, Jimmy pursued his musical career by assembling a band of his own playing an assortment of major New York nightspots. He then wrote his second million seller, “Hey Leroy Your Mama’s Calling You,” on Mercury Records, through which a new flashy and spirited performer was introduced to the public

He formed the Jimmy Castor Bunch in 1972 and signed with RCA. Their first release, It's Just Begun, launched Castor's next phase with the song "Troglodyte (Cave Man)." It was a Top Ten R&B and pop smash. The follow up album, Phase Two adheres closely to the previous album's formula, right down to using an orchestral instrumental for its intro and epilogue. As a result, parts of it feel like a re-tread: the standout example of this problem is "Luther the Anthropoid (Ape Man)," which sports a nice groove but is a merely a thinly veiled rewrite of "Troglodyte." Despite some uninspired moments like this, Phase Two makes up for the problem with tight arrangements and an infectiously funky performance from the band. " "Say Leroy (The Creature From the Black Lagoon Is Your Father)" mixes Latin rock with frenzied funk-rock breaks to create a punchy tune that gave the band another pop hit and "When?" is an effective, fuzz guitar-drenched trip through the woes of ghetto life. The most unusual and interesting of these cuts is "Tribute to Jimi: Purple Haze/Foxy Lady," a novel medley that layers the vocal melody and lyrics of "Foxy Lady" over the tune of "Purple Haze." The album also does well in its softer moments: "Paradise" is a pleasantly harmonized ballad and the band's saxophone-led instrumental take on "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" is quite enchanting.

Castor continued the trend in 1975 with "The Bertha Butt Boogie" and later recorded "E-Man Boogie," "King Kong," "Bom Bom," and "Amazon." The Castor band included keyboardist/trumpeter Gerry Thomas, bassist Doug Gibson, guitarist Harry Jensen, conga player Lenny Fridle, Jr., and drummer Bobby Manigault. Thomas left to join the Fatback band. Castor recorded as a solo performer from 1976 until 1988. He had one of his bigger hits in many years with a 1988 revival of "Love Makes a Woman," which paired him with disco diva Joyce Sims.

So far the '90s have been quiet years for the E-Man, but as a 1993 appearance at New York City's Sounds Of Brazil nightclub from the re-formed Jimmy Castor Bunch proved, Jimmy Castor, still youthful in his early fifties, still has plenty spark left in him. Meanwhile he's samples (from troglodyte and it's just begun) still have kept their appeal 35 years later...

Hello Sundazers all survived the Halloween daze well i hope, i have to say that the interest in the back up of the 20 deleted pages at transgloballs has underwhelmed me but then theres still 438 posts here (wink). Theme for today is inspired by the Worldchess Championship title which has been retained by Anand. The album here was inspired by a game of chess and this 1984 release, E2-E4 became a seminal building block in the subsequent development of styles ranging from techno to house to contemporary ambient music, in short a classic from 1980, this however is a cdrip..

Manuel Gottsching - E2 E4 ( 84 Flac 415mb)

Both as a founding member of the Krautrock group Ash Ra Tempel and through his later solo work, Manuel Göttsching was among the true innovators of the musical aesthetic later dubbed electronica. Born in 1952 and raised in West Berlin, Göttsching gave up his classical music training at the age of 14 to begin performing with a variety of local groups, eventually turning to electronics and improvisational techniques. In 1970 he formed Ash Ra Tempel with ex-Tangerine Dream drummer Klaus Schulze and schoolmate Harmut Enke; the group was quickly signed by the Berlin-based OHR label, issuing their self-titled debut LP the following year.

As electronics began making a bigger and bigger impact on the German music scene, Ash Ra Tempel emerged at the vanguard of the new technology, acquiring new equipment with seemingly each passing performance. By 74 both Schulze and Enke had left the group, however, with Göttsching forging ahead as a solo artist now working simply as Ashra; around this same time he issued Inventions for Electric Guitar, a groundbreaking soundscape which greatly furthered his experiments with electronics. Subsequent releases including 1977's New Age of Earth continued his guitar manipulations; during the middle of the decade, he also played in the group the Cosmic Jokers.

In 1980, shortly after finishing a tour with Schulze, Göttsching sat down in his studio to create a piece of music to listen to on the airplane; the end result was a 58-minute experimental piece dubbed E2-E4, a collage of treated guitar lines, icily atmospheric synths, and cutting-edge beats. Never intending for the track to see the light of day, he did not issue it until 1984, the first of his albums to appear under his own name. E2-E4 soon became a major favorite on the underground club circuit, where it was regularly spun in sets featuring New Order and other key innovators of the moment despite its creator's admission that it was never created with dance audiences in mind.

In 1989 Göttsching was contacted by a group of Italian DJs wishing to release a remix of E2-E4; he agreed, even traveling to Italy to play guitar on the track. Retitled due to licensing restrictions, it appeared as an eponymous release credited to Sueño Latino, going on to become a worldwide club smash which eventually topped the U.K. dance charts. Ironically, it sold more copies than all of Göttsching's previous recordings combined. That same year, he also resurrected the Ashra name to release the LP Walkin' the Desert, his first collection of new music in some time. In the years to follow, Göttsching continued working on new Ashra material, also taking on a variety of outside projects like composing music for fashion shows. E2-E4 also remained an electronica touchstone, sampled by artists including Junior Vasquez and Carl Craig. In 2007, Universal released the CD/DVD Live at Mt. Fuji.

(Sub)track times are as noted on the packaging; the actual CD is a single unindexed track 59:35 in duration.

The Rapture - Echoes ( 03 ^ 99mb)

The Rapture formed in 1998 by keyboardist Chris Relyea, drummer Vito Roccoforte and guitarist/vocalist Luke Jenner. In 1999 the band released its debut 'mini-album', Mirror. Following this release, the band relocated to New York. They were finally joined by Matt Safer having gone through five keyboard players and two bassists in an eighteen-month period. After touring extensively for two years, the band released the six-song EP Out of the Races and Onto the Tracks on the Sub Pop label. The Rapture were forerunners of the post-punk revival of the early 2000s, as they mixed their early post-punk sound with electronic and dance elements via their collaboration with the celebrated New York production team DFA. Multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Andruzzi joined the band in 2002. Their first full-length record, Echoes, it showcases a more sophisticated, restrained, and successful take on the fusion of guitar riffs and electronic beats. The reckless, wounded-heart abandon found in the lyrics, combined with the infectious grooves coursing throughout the album, still lead back to the dancing frenzy fans expect. Echoes was released to critical acclaim in 2003, including album of the year by

In 2004, the band released a DVD, Is Live, and Well, in New York City through DFA Records/Mercury Records Limited. They released their second full-length album, Pieces of the People We Love in September 2006. Paul Epworth, Ewan Pearson and Danger Mouse produced the album. The new album displays a more polished and markedly less angular sound to their previous work, receiving a mixed critical reception. The Rapture supported The Killers on the London leg of their tour at the Carling Academy Brixton from 26 November 2006 to 28 November 2006 and Daft Punk on the North American leg of their tour in 2007.

Their song, “Whoo! Alright, Yeah…Uh Huh” is the official anthem for Red Bull New York of Major League Soccer. The same song is used on the EA sports game Madden 2007 under the name "W.A.Y.U.H"

Hello, as deletions continue (20 pages thusfar) i've been thinking what to do about it, as the persons responsible remain anonymous and refuse to simple ask to remove the offending item. You'll find more about all this at Transgloballs together with a tip how you can be independent of Google actions against (music)blogs Check it out !.

Halloween has its origins in the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain. The festival is a celebration of the end of the harvest season in Gaelic culture, and is sometimes regarded as the "Celtic New Year". Traditionally, the festival was a time used by the ancient pagans to take stock of supplies and slaughter livestock for winter stores. The ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, now known as Halloween, the boundary between the alive and the deceased dissolved, and the dead become dangerous for the living by causing problems such as sickness or damaged crops. The festivals would frequently involve bonfires, into which bones of slaughtered livestock were thrown. Costumes and masks were also worn at the festivals in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits or placate them.

Now then, i'm not really into halloween but i had this album on standby for sometime and thought by myself...Edgar Allen Poe the man who wrote gothic horror stories and ended miserably like a true great writer he was. Those were the days..anyway it inspired Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfsun to put his writing to music and even though concept albums had been declared out at the time, managed to convince enough people-like me to buy the album and make it a goldrecord...11 years later after the Alan Parsons prokject had been closed , he got to partially rerecord/remix the album, including a voluntairy contribution by Orson Welles, all for the CD release...both are here now, last year a remasterd double pack of both versions was released. I've added a reading of The Raven by actor Christopher Walken to both versions.

In October 1967, at age 18, Parsons went to work as an assistant engineer at Abbey Road Studios, and first garnered significant industry exposure via his work on the Beatles' 1969 masterpiece, Abbey Road. Parsons subsequently worked with Paul McCartney on several of Wings' earliest albums; he also oversaw recordings from Al Stewart, Cockney Rebel, and Pilot, but solidified his reputation by working on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. He was known for going beyond what would normally be considered the scope of a recording engineer’s duties. He considered himself to be a recording director.

He founded The Alan Parsons Project with producer and songwriter (and occasional singer) Eric Woolfson in 1975. The Project consisted of a revolving group of studio musicians and vocalists, most notably the members of Pilot and (on the first album) the members of American rock band Ambrosia. Unlike most rock groups, the Project rarely performed live, although they did release a number of music videos. After releasing ten albums, the Project dissolved after 1987, and Parsons continues to release work in his own name and in collaboration with other musicians; Parsons and his band now regularly tour many parts of the world.

The Project debuted in 1975 with Tales of Mystery and Imagination, a collection inspired by the work of Edgar Allan Poe; similarly, the science fiction of Isaac Asimov served as the raw material for 1977's follow-up, I Robot. With 1980's The Turn of a Friendly Card, a meditation on gambling, the Alan Parsons Project scored a Top 20 hit, "Games People Play"; 1982's Eye in the Sky was the Project's most successful effort, and notched a Top Three hit with its title track. While 1984's Ammonia Avenue went gold, the Project's subsequent LPs earned little notice, although records like 1985's Vulture Culture, 1987's Gaudi, and 1996's On Air found favor with longtime fans. Time Machine followed in 1999. After taking a five-year hiatus, Parsons returned in 2004 with A Valid Path.

As well as receiving gold and platinum awards from nearly every country in the world, Parsons has received eleven Grammy Award nominations for engineering and production. In 2007 he received a nomination for Best Surround Sound Album for A Valid Path. As of 2007, he tours under a revised name, The Alan Parsons Live Project, presenting world-spanning concerts performing material from his most recent album as well as selections from the original Project.

Parsons, Alan - Tales Of Mystery And Imagination V (76 ^ 98mb)

The album is an insight into the life of American writer and poet Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849), as seen through the eyes of Parsons and Eric Woolfson, an admirer of Poe's work and at whose instigation the Project (as it was titled during its embryonic stages) was undertaken. The lyric content of the album incorporates many adaptations of Poe's work.

The album's avant-garde soundscapes kept it from being a blockbuster, but the interesting lyrical and musical themes — retellings of horror stories and poetry by Edgar Allan Poe — attracted a small audience. Critical reaction was often mixed.
This album was released in U.K. originally with a different name. Simply called "The Alan Parsons Project" it was successful enough to achieve gold status but later that year the same album was released under the name of "Tales of Mystery and Imagination"

Parsons, Alan - Tales Of Mystery And Imagination (87 ^ 99mb)

In 1987, Parsons completely remixed the album, including additional guitar passages and narration (by Orson Welles) as well as updating the production style to include heavy reverb and the gated drum sound of the 80s. The CD notes that Welles never met Parsons or Collaborator Eric Woolfson, but sent a tape to them of the performance shortly after the orignal album was released in 1976. The original multitrack masters were transferred from a Soundcraft "Saturn" analog machine to a Sony 3324 DASH format 24 track recorder. May and June 1987

You may have noted that more (10)pages have been taken down by blogspot , unfortunately the anonymous persons that complained never took the trouble asking me to taken down the album they claim hurts their wallet...more then the current financial/housing is clear to me that the source is the UK , the real pity is that the other unchallenged albums and all the write ups dissappear aswell. So hereby i challenge the deleter to just comment and request the deletion of the contested link..this btw has happened twice in the past two years and i obviously complied. Please, whoever you are stop this cause of action. Rho

Canadia (11)

Hello, after last weeks crash onto a lifeless earth season two sees the crew of canadia in a depressive state but.....

In the year 2056 the US has declared war on the Ipampilashians and has sent the American armada to destroy their planet. Canada has sent its only ship, The Canadia, in support of the American mission but the Canadia is not a warship. It's a maintenance ship (they change light bulbs and plunge toilets). Max Anderson is the first American ever to be stationed on the Canadia. He was put there by the American admiral (his mother) to toughen him up but keep him out of any real danger. The only thing that Max and the crew of the Canadia agree on is that no one wants him there.

Season 2 Canadia: 2056 - Episode 11

Six months after their fateful return to Earth, the Canadian maintenance ship Canadia and her crew lay in ruins. The captain has deserted his post, Anderson and the Robot have gone off seeking answers, Faverau tries to hold on to the past and Lewis is left to try to put it all back together. They have all but given up hope that the human race can survive. Until a sign from above reaffirms their belief in the human spirit... kind of.

Afterposts (Sndz 2)

Hello Sundazers a really mixed bag today, a movie, Zeitgeist Addendum spilt in 4 parts for easy download in the AVI format, last time the aVI had some problems on some platforms but this time i recoded with another offer today Format Factory a very handy tool to convert many different, video and sound formats, together with the tool i used to get the movie, the youtube downloader , furthermore two very nifty converters lame and oggdrop...Finally some meditive music TUU and All Our Ancestors would be proud if we manage to free ourselves from the debt wont be easy consideringmany still prostrate themselves for kings and queens and schizo religions..

***** ***** ***** ***** *****

Zeitgeist: Addendum, a 2008 documentary film produced by Peter Joseph, is a continuation of the film Zeitgeist, the Movie. The film relates the corruptive nature of the Federal Reserve System in the United States, the CIA henchman for corporate America and others, concluding with the advocating of the Venus Project, created by social engineer Jacque Fresco. The movie premiered at the 5th Annual Artivist Film Festival in Los Angeles, California on October 2, 2008, and was released free online on October 4, 2008.According to director Peter Joseph, the film "attempts to locate the root causes of this pervasive social corruption, while offering a solution". In conclusion, Addendum stresses the need for belief systems to embrace the ideas of emergence and interdependence and outlines concrete steps that can be taken to weaken the monetary system.

In contrast with the first Zeitgeist, The Movie, Addendum caused some stir as the makers lay out a vision to strive for, which is as it should be, only the ideas portrayed didnt go down to well with some smallminded egomaniacs..unsurprisingly i might add. The FACT that there's plenty of renewable (almost free) energy around has been kept from the world for decades, and im not talking about zeropoint energy but solar, wind, geothermic there is plenty but it cant be controlled like energy has been and there lies the opposition..the controllers...Now machines have been getting a bad rap as these have been used in this world to keep the workforce down, but machines have no ego and these can do almost anything in providing humans with food, building shelter provinding healthcare.. The idea being if everyone is provided for the drive to commit crime and corrupt and wage war is taken away...and humans can concentrate on expressing themselves...obviously these ideas sound very dangerous to the ego driven competitors so you'll here them shout communism which it aint, its closer to libertarianism, its about all men have equal rights, it's about money don't matter.

Zeitgeist Addendum I (AVI 81mb)

Zeitgeist: Addendum is separated into four parts. The first part criticizes the practice of the Fractional Reserve Banking system. And in a very simplistic way the film tries to convey how the Federal Reserve creates money, and what each dollar bill represents --that is, debt. The film goes on to present a case for how the Fed loans this newly created "debt money" to the U.S.treasury in exchange for bonds. In sequence, the money received from the Fed ends up as deposits in commercial banks, which through the fractional reserve system is multiplied and turned into interest baring loans. The film comments how "absurd" such a system is, since the interest that must be paid for the bonds can only create a perpetual cycle of debt

Zeitgeist Addendum II (AVI 85mb)

The second part is a documentary style interview with John Perkins, in which he describes his role as a Economic Hitman (EHM). He helped CIA and the ruling political/corporate elites who have worked to undermine legitimate foreign regimes who put the interests of their populations before those of transnational corporations

Zeitgeist Addendum III (AVI 112mb)

The third part describes the Venus Project, a proposal created by Jacque Fresco. The film promotes the Venus Project as a sustainable solution for mankind on earth. Its main goal is to produce a "resource-based economy" using modern technology.

Zeitgeist Addendum IV (AVI 126mb)

Part IV states that everything wrong with the world is "fundamentally the result of a collective ignorance of two of the most basic insights humans can have about reality - the 'emergent' and 'symbiotic' aspects of natural law." The film then suggests actions for "social transformation", such as boycotts of large banks, the mainstream media, the military, and energy companies, rejecting the political structure and "creating critical mass".

Second here is Format Factory, extremely useful transcoding video and audio files, allthough the high-quality sound settings are not (128)

Whether you haven’t heard of this particular file format that you have on your desktop or you haven’t got the appropriate tools on your system, Format Factory is what we recommend trying out, it’s a freeware and probably the last file conversion tool you will ever need to search for! Format Factory currently handles 12 types of video formats, six audio types, eight image formats and DVD/ISO conversions.

As you can see, it doesn’t look difficult to use, in fact quite simple, although spiked with format-icons and a big banner announcing the program’s name for no reason other than to put lipstick on the pig. The left navigation menu has collapsible links to the various formats you can convert to, based on type: video, audio, image, mobile device, and ROM device. Below the massive title banner, the central pane sports decorative icons until you start the conversion process.Once you’ve selected your files, you can change the output quality to presets or custom settings. Hit Start on the Toolbar of the main window to begin the process, which is surprisingly fast for smaller video files. FormatFactory excels at batch conversion without error. It does, however, eat up much of your processor while it’s running even one conversion, and for some reason considers 128k high quality..which makes it rather unsuitable for me, however my advice convert to wave and from there use the conversion tools and quality you want, my oggdroptool goes to 512k and plenty of lame/mp3 converters around like the lamedrop i include here.

This here is the latest version of Format Factory 1.55

Key features:
· All to MPG/AVI/3GP/FLV/MP4.
· All to MP3/OGG/WMA/M4A/WAV.
· Rip DVD to video file.
· MP4 files support iPod/iPhone/PSP format.
· Support converting all popular video, audio, picture formats to others.
· Repair damaged video and audio file.
· Reducing Multimedia file size.
· Support iphone, ipod multimedia file formats.
· Picture converting supports Zoom,Rotate/Flip,tags.
· DVD Ripper.
- It has multilangual (35) support

Finally two extremely useful coding progs, and the lame/oggdrop neednt be installed at all these work right away, Lamedrop even recodes my oggfiles directly to MP3..That said you'd be surprised how many MP3 players play Ogg even if its rarely should try

oggdropXPd is a drag-and-drop Ogg Vorbis encoder/decoder/player for the eXPerienced user. Features include compression from lossless files (Monkeys Audio, LPAC, FLAC, WAVPACK and OptimFROG -(check for needed dll's), auto-tagging, renaming of encoded files, setting of advanced encoder parameters, use of VorbisGain tags on decode, playlist (.m3u) creation, and others.

Playback also supports multi-channel in the same way. A further option is added to downmix multi-channel to stereo for decoding to file, or playback. The multi-channel mapping conforms to the Vorbis I Specification.

LameDropXPd is a practical frontend for LAME that makes things easier to the user, as there is no need to know about command line usage: most LAME settings are reachable on a graphical interface. Besides encoding WAV files to MP3, it can transcode Ogg Vorbis files, decode MP3 files to WAV, and auto-tag the files it encodes.

Tuu - All Our Ancesters (94 ^ 99mb)

Deep, ancient atmospheres. A rich combination of the exotic and the electronic. A mystical, magical travelogue exploring old, hidden dimensions. Tuu are Martin Franklin on water drums, clay pots, tibetan bells and gongs, Rebecca Lublinski on flutes, and Mykl O'Dempsey with synths and samples. The result is a music that is dark and strangely unsettling, generally rhythmic but never funky, slow but never heavy. This is a good disc to listen to focus your attention within and reach out to the world around you. It is extremely peaceful, relaxing and not in the least bit boring since the exotic nature of the instruments holds your attention quite well. This music shadows the distant past, the unknown future and the mystery of life. This here is one of the originally released  limited edition of 500 with a hand-made metal and paper slipcase
