Hello, today the 45th post of GoldyRhox, classic pop rock, in the darklight a US band with five number one singles, six Grammys, five American Music Awards, and six number one albums, in short they were one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s. Here we go, on a dark desert highway..any moment now a UFO will appear

Most of the albums i 'll post made many millions for the music industry and a lot of what i intend to post still gets repackaged and remastered decades later, squeezing the last drop of profit out of bands that for the most part have ceased to exist long ago, although sometimes they get lured out of the mothballs to do a big bucks gig or tour. Now i'm not as naive to post this kinda music for all to see and have deleted, these will be a black box posts, i'm sorry for those on limited bandwidth but for most of you a gamble will get you a quality rip don't like it, deleting is just 2 clicks...That said i will try to accommodate somewhat and produce some cryptic info on the artist and or album.

Todays mystery album was released on December 8, 1976 as the band's fifth studio album, it became their highest selling studio album with over 16 million copies sold in the U.S. alone. The album was at #1 for eight weeks in early 1977 (non-consecutively), and included two tracks which became #1 hits as singles on the Billboard Hot 100. It was ranked #37 on Rolling Stone's list of the “500 Greatest Albums Of All Time”n and further established the group as the most successful American band of the decade, making them household names.

Their singer, songwriter and drummer stated "This is a concept album, there’s no way to hide it, but it’s not set in the old West, the cowboy thing, you know. It’s more urban this time, using California as a microcosm of the whole United States, or the whole world, if you will, and to try to wake people up and say ‘We’ve been okay so far, but we’re gonna have to change if we’re gonna continue to be around."
